Dr.Ammar is a Professor of Computer Engineering in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University.

He joined the faculty at WVU in 1990 after five years of service on the faculty at Clarkson University. Dr. Ammar has published over 80 articles in prestigious journals and conference proceedings such as the IEEE Transaction on Software Engineering, the IEEE Transactions on Computers, and the IEEE Transactions on Reliability.
