I did my undergraduate and graduate studies in the Regional Engineering College, Calicut and IIT Bombay respectively. I worked in Larsen & Toubro as a database designer from Jan 1993-July 1993 (the term software engineer was not popular back then:)). My first research job was that of an algorithm designer at Glaxo-Wellcome, where I was involved with graph isomorphism problems. This was followed by a long stint at Cadence Design Systems as a VLSI engineer.
By then, I had had enough of industry and moved back to school at the University of Maryland, College Park. Four years later, they mailed me a Ph.D.! |
