Jignesh M. Solanki received his B.E. degree from Nagpur University, India, M.E. degree from Mumbai University, India and Ph.D. degree from Mississippi State University, Mississippi State. He then joined Open Systems International Inc. as a Senior Engineer. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, West Virginia University, Morgantown. He was involved in research activities at Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India. He received IEEE technical committee working group recognition award in 2008. His research interest is in distribution automation for smart grid and intelligent applications to power systems.
