Program Requirements

There are two possible avenues for entrance to the certificate program.

1. Students who have recently completed a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Must meet the current entrance requirements for WVU MS Computer Science or MS Electrical Engineering with a major in CpE.

2. Working professionals who have completed a bachelor's degree in a major other than Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering:

Bachelor's degree in any major, minimum grade point average of 3.0 with at least a 3.0 grade point average in the major, and significant computer-related work experience and strong recommendation by a company or law enforcement agency wishing to train their officers in Forensic Computer Science. They should submit a resume documenting at least three years of computer-related experience and provide three references who are familiar with the applicant's work experience.
