Graduate education prepares CSEE professionals to cope with the rapid technological advances that are characteristic of our profession. In constrast to the breadth of an undergraduate program, graduate study allows students to specialize in topics that most strongly interest them, and to contribute to increasing the overall body of knowledge as they learn.
The Lane Department of Computer Science & Electrical Engineering offers graduate programs aimed at preparing students for both professional and research careers. The department offers MS degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Software Engineering which prepare students for careers in design and technical leadership. For students interested in careers in research or education, the department offers Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science. Our department also offers an interdisciplinary doctorate in Combinatorial Computing & Discrete Mathmatics in conjunction with the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics.
