IEEE Computer Society
The Computer Society is the largest society, by far, within the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers. The IEEE in turn is the largest professional organization in the world. IEEE-CS has over 100,000 members worldwide. Its purpose is to advance the theory and practice of computer science and engineering, promote the exchange of technical information among members, and provide a wide range of services to members and nonmembers. Membership in the Computer Society does not require full IEEE membership, and is open to all whose profession is related to computing.
